Orion The Hunter over Doonbeg

This image was shot late in the evening in February. The constellation of Orion dominates the winter skies over Doonbeg. In Greek mythology Orion was a giant huntsman who Zeus placed among the stars as the constellation of Orion.

The 3 particularly bright stars above the lodge make up Orion’s belt.
